this whole song is a huge "what if i did '________'?" experiment. i tried to put as many layers as i could onto this really gritty simple bass line. it ends up sounding really weird but i like how it turned out. i especially love the arp in the right channel.

my friend wrote the lyrics to this. i told him to just, and i quote, "let's say uhhh, something from the perspective of someone who was controlled his whole life to not see color or feel emotion and suddenly one day it's all revealed to him at once.... not that specific, sensory overload is a better prompt i guess" and so i guess that's what this song is about. it's kind of a spoken word thing and the vocals are way more an instrument than a vehicle for thoughts.
